Wild West Days

You won’t want to miss this fun and family friendly Old West Train event! The Wild West Days Train includes a short, 45-minute round trip train ride (except the 90 minute ride on Friday evening at 7pm) on the historic Heber Creeper. Tickets are $15 for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 2-11. Toddlers age 1 and under do not need a ticket. On board you’ll be entertained by fun western sing-a-longs and the Heber Valley Railroad Saloon Girls! And look out for the Old West – Heber Valley Train Gang, who might try and rob the train!
At the depot enjoy FREE live music featuring Krazi Ani, and the Old West Gunfight skit including our Candy Cannon at the Depot pavilion.

Wine & Cheese Tasting Train

Step aboard for a relaxed and thoughtfully curated Wine & Cheese Tasting Experience on the train, where scenic rail travel meets a guided exploration of classic wines from around the world – sponsored by Vine Lore. Guests will enjoy a five-course wine tasting, each pour selected to showcase a range of styles and regions. The experience is designed to unfold at an easy, enjoyable pace, encouraging conversation, discovery, and time to savor each wine.
Each table will be presented with a generous shared cheese board, available throught the journey for guests to enjoy alongside the wines at their leisure.

Deer Creek Express

This 90 minute round trip offers incredible views of the Wasatch Back and the wide open vistas of Deer Creek reservoir. Most days at 1pm, and 3:30pm.  Old fashioned hospitality and entertainment on board!

Dinosaur Trains

Bring you little ones and ride the Dinosaur Train at the Heber Valley Railroad! You’ll enjoy a short 40-minute round trip ride on our historic train. Onboard our hosts and “paleontologists” will entertain you and teach you about dinosaurs and Utah. Kids will learn the dinosaur dance and get a toy dinosaur.

Important To Know

  • Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. Trains depart on time!
  • Children 1 and under do not need a ticket to ride the train for most rides. Exceptions are North Pole Express, Princess & Pirate, Pumpkin Train, and sometimes others.
  • Pets and Comfort/Emotional Support animals are not allowed on the train. Service animals are allowed on board with their owner, they must stay under the seat or at the owner’s feet, and be kept on a leash at all times
  • Car seats and strollers are not allowed on train.
  • Wheelchairs and walkers are not allowed on the train.
  • Restrooms are available on the train.
  • Passengers are not allowed to bring alcholo on the train.
  • Assigned Seats. Note that on most trains we pre-assign you specific seats in a specific train car. If you are riding with friends or family who have purchased tickets on a separate order, and don’t let us know beforehand, you will not be seated together! Please contact the ticket office by phone at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled ride and we will do our best to seat you with your friends and family on separate orders.
  • Due to the historic nature of our rail cars, wheelchairs access is not available. Please call ahead for additional information.
  • Active duty U.S. military and card-carrying U.S. military veterans ride free on all scenic trains (Provo Canyon Limited, Deer Creek Express, & Lakeside Limited). Immediate families are 50% off. Please call the ticket office for this special.
  • All rides and adventures depart from the Heber depot unless noted otherwise.
  • Change orders for ticket purchases may be subject to a $5 surcharge
  • With at least 48 hours notice, there is a cancellation fee of 20% per order, No refund will be given with less then 48 hours notification.

  • Management reserves the right to change the schedule or cancel trains at any time. The schedule may change without notice.
  • With historic train equipment we have to occasionally take cars out of service unexpectedly for maintenance or repairs. This may require us to change the coach or class of service you purchased a ticket for. Please be understanding if this happens to you!
